DIRECTOR OF ADVERTISING
Art Papers, the non-profit publisher of the award-winning international contemporary art ART PAPERS magazine, seeks an energetic and experienced Director of Advertising to lead its efforts to grow print advertising.
The Director of Advertising will manage all advertising sales representatives and all operations associated with advertising.
Mission: ART PAPERS is an organization dedicated to the examination, development, and definition of art and culture in the world today. Our mission is to provide an independent and accessible forum for the exchange of perspectives on the role of contemporary art as a socially relevant and engaged discourse. This mission is implemented through the publication of ART PAPERS Magazine and the presentation of public programs.
Vision Statement: ART PAPERS will become a global reference on contemporary art as it grows its print publication into a multi-platform program. Leveraging the organization's enviable legacy, we will position ART PAPERS as a multi-faceted institution that connects various and expanding international audiences by developing trailblazing contents and disseminating them in print, online, live, and beyond. ART PAPERS will breed new and contesting ideas, foster engaged positions about art and the world, deliver groundbreaking and informed critical approaches, and incite artistic experimentation. ART PAPERS will also continue to develop its audience through free, or low-cost, converging programs. Readers will rely on ART PAPERS to broaden their knowledge of contemporary art because they trust our independence and share our commitment to the present. Together, our mission and this vision statement will guide all of ART PAPERS' initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Extensive advertising sales experience
- Management experience (2 years +)
- Strong knowledge of art and culture
- Superior computer skills
- Database proficiency
- Organized, creative, and result oriented
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
